Concession Building Construction, Abilene State Park, c. 1933 - 1934

The concession building's stonework is laid in a pattern that uses narrower blocks of red sandstone as the walls rise in height. Architect David Castle of Abilene provided the design and specifications, and CCC Company 1823(V), World War I veterans, both blacks and whites, provided the labor.
